COVID-19 really messed things up for the past couple of years now. Some people didn’t take it seriously, especially when it came to the holidays. I created a list of COVID friendly Christmas activities so that you can still have fun during the holidays.  It’s understandable that people want to see their family and friends but cases keep spiking up. And it’s not safe.

I have to make sure that I’m safe because I have an autoimmune disorder called Graves’ disease. The entire time that COVID-19 been around I’ve stayed in doors. I work from home so I don’t see a lot of people and I don’t want to take a risk. Even though I’m home a lot  I still want to be able to get in the Christmas spirit. So if you are taking COVID-19 seriously like I am…

Here’s a list of COVID-19 friendly Christmas activities that I think you will enjoy.

COVID Friendly Christmas Activities

Decorate A Mini Christmas Tree

I know that during the holiday season everyone decorates a Christmas tree or they decorate the entire house. If you are by yourself this year you don’t have to invest in a big Christmas tree. You can get a small one and still be in the Christmas spirit. I decorated a mini Christmas tree that featured Glocoa.com. You should check it out.

Drive Through Christmas Lights

Walking around your neighborhood is pretty safe for COVID since you’re outside. I think a better  option is to go to a drive through light show. Since COVID a lot of these events have popped up. You won’t have to  go walking or avoid other people on your walk. If you want you can go by yourself or with a few people that you know are safe. I listed a few that are in Florida since I live there.

Bake Christmas Treats

I love baking and I think it fun to make some holiday treats. You can make some Christmas cookies and decorate them with frosting. I like seeing the creative ways that people make snowmen and Christmas trees with baked goods. This is a good COVID friendly idea because you don’t have to leave your house. I have a blog post that lists some Christmas treats you should try out

Christmas Movie Marathon

A movie marathon is the best way to stay indoors. Christmas movies are great to watch, even the ones that are cheesy. I think that I accept that most holiday movies don’t have the best storyline but that’s not the point. Watching Christmas movies is supposed to be fun and light. While you’re watching you can grab  some of the treats you made and snuggle up with your favorite blanket. I have a guest post written by my blogger friend Des and she made a wonderful movie list you should check out.

Make Christmas Care Packages

This idea is from a friend of mine. She is also taking COVID seriously and instead of visiting friends, she is sending holiday care packages. She sent me one too which was very sweet of her to do. I think it’s a great idea to make a care package for a friend. It might lift up their spirits especially if they are struggling this year. I have a list of self care gifts that you can include in your care package.

Christmas Zoom Party

Zoom events have gotten popular since COVID started. So, why not have a Zoom party? It’s a fun way to hang out with friends while being safe. You can play games, sing songs and if you prepare ahead of time do a secret santa.

Listen To Christmas Music

While you’re making the christmas treats or the care package for a friend you can listen to Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit. There’s so many songs you can listen to. My favorite is All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey.

Order Christmas Pajamas

Christmas Pajamas are a way to be festive but comfortable. I think Christmas pajamas are so cute especially if you get matching ones for your family. It would be a fun idea to have a Christmas pajama party through zoom. You can even watch some Christmas movies in your pajamas.

I hope you enjoyed my list of COVID friendly Christmas activities. What is your favorite activity on the list?
